headed for immersion in old city
HYDERABAD, JULY, 16 : Amid heavy rain Hyderabad oldcity
Bonalu procession passed off peacefully with colorfully decorated Goddess Ghatam
immersion in Musi River today.
Old City Streets reverberated with rhythmic Beats
with Potharajus remained the centre of attraction and youngsters danced to the pulsating
beats.The main procession started from Laldarwaza Simhavahini temple.12 Major
temples convoy of Ghatams procession passed on via Laldarwaza, Shalibanda,Charminar,Madina
to Nayapul for immersion.
Thousands of people came for procession from different
parts of Telangana and AP stood out on
the footpath to view the procession.The actual procession began after the
Oracla prediction called “Rangam” at Laldarwaza Simhavahini Temple. Various Cultural
programmes organised by the State Government enthralled the people.Ummadi
Devalaya ooregimpu Committee also made special arrangement to welcome the
ghatams enroute on the main locations.
